Coming from a family of distinguished theatre personalities, Supriya’s presence has always provided a touch of elegance to serials as well as films. She is still remembered for her performances in serials like Idhar Udhar (in which she co-starred sister, Ratna Pathak Shah) and Mohandas BA LLB (in which she played the lead with her real-life hubby, Pankaj Kapur, who also directed the serial) and in films like Bazaar and Mirch Masala (in which the ’villain’ was her brother-in-law, Naseeruddin Shah).
